Hereford-based SEO writer & editor for hire
Is your website optimised for AI search? Look, I know it's not a popular term right now, but the way people search online is changing rapidly, and you need to be prepared for that.
I'm here to help with your on-page content – as well as conduct an SEO audit of your site – to make sure your knowledge and experience gets you noticed on Google. It's like putting your hand up in class so the teacher picks your answer.
Nerd.
Anyway, check out the SEO work I've done in the past, as well as the services I offer. If you want to hire me to help with your website content, get in touch and we'll talk.
*Note: this website is still being worked on, so changes are coming on a fairly regular basis. I know, what a great way to advertise my services.
Who I am
My name is Andrew. I'm a UK-based freelance writer and editor with a decent slab of experience to offer. I've worked in video games journalism in the past, but I also have a keen interest is in SEO-related content. Yes, I agree, I really am a party animal.
I have a BA (hons) in Creative & Professional Writing from the University of Wolverhampton, achieving a 2:1. I also have an MA in Social & Cultural Theory, but it's up to you to decide whether that's relevant to your interests or not. Ooh, I also *nearly* got me a PhD. Nearly. Nevermind, eh.
I'm passionate about literature and comedy, and have a love-dislike relationship with video games. I've been playing them all my life (over four decades, if you can believe it), which suggested I'd be more than suited to writing articles about it. That's a half-truth. I still play games, but I've moved away from gaming "journalism" (I use the term very loosely) in order to set sights on new ventures. That said, I'm particularly interested in working with video game studios, especially new and indie ones.
I have a beard. If that seals the deal.
Who I help
Maybe you're launching a product and you want to tell the world about it. Or you're an up-and-coming studio that's trying to get itself noticed in the vicious world of gaming. Scratch that; you just have no idea how to go about optimising your content for Google. Maybe you're sat in your office staring at a blank screen, waving your arms in the air and going "WHAT DO?!"
At any rate, the problem is the same: "how do I get myself out there on search engines?" That's where I come in. We can discuss your website/business, and you can let me know what you want from a content writer/editor. I'm here to give advice as well. Sound good? You don't even have to wear trousers. We can do all this via video chat. Or even email if you don't like online calls. That way, we can't see each other sneaking in that afternoon drink. No judgements here.
I can also proofread something you've been working on. It doesn't have to be SEO-based. If you're in the midst of writing a short story or about to complete that first novel, get in touch if you want someone to cast a critical eye over it.
All edits and suggestions are done using Track Changes.
