UK SEO and content writer/editor for hire
I'm here to help your website get better visibility on Google (other search engines are available).
Maybe you're a new business and you don't quite know how to go about it. Or you've got an established website, but you're wondering why your competitors are ranking higher than you are.
Hello. I'm offering content writing/editing and SEO services to help you get noticed on Google. Because you want people to see you as an expert in your field. It's like putting your hand up in class so the teacher picks you first.
(Nerd)
Anyway, check out the work I've done in the past, as well as the services I offer. If you want to hire me to help with your content or web optimisation, get in touch. Let's dance. Or talk. Talk is probably better.
Who I help
In a nutshell
- Small businesses that need fresh content or a tune-up.
- A brand-new business that's just getting started online
- Those who need a professional eye to look over their work
Details
Maybe you're launching a product and you want to tell the world about it. Or you're an up-and-coming games studio that's looking for more wishlists or need a Steam page tune-up.
Scratch that; you just have no idea how to go about optimising your content for Google. Maybe you're sat in your office staring at a blank screen, waving your arms in the air and going "WHAT DO?!"
At any rate, the problem is the same: "how do I get myself out there on search engines?" That's where I come in.
We can discuss your website/business, and you can let me know what you want from a content writer/editor. I'm here to give advice as well. Sound good? You don't even have to wear trousers.
We can do all this via video chat. Or even email if you don't like online calls. That way, we can't see each other sneaking in that afternoon drink. No judgements here.
I can also proofread something you've been working on. It doesn't have to be SEO-based. If you're in the midst of writing a short story or about to complete that first novel, get in touch if you want someone to cast a critical eye over it.
All edits and suggestions are done using Track Changes.
Who I am
My name is Andrew. I'm a UK-based freelance writer and editor with a decent slab of experience to offer. I've worked in video games journalism in the past, but I also have a knowledge of SEO-related and general web content. Yes, I agree, I really am a party animal.
I have a BA (hons) in Creative & Professional Writing from the University of Wolverhampton, achieving a 2:1. I also have an MA in Social & Cultural Theory, but it's up to you to decide whether that's relevant to your interests or not. Ooh, I also *nearly* got me a PhD. Nearly. Nevermind, eh.
I've written for some big sites, including Destructoid, PCGamesN, and Rock Paper Shotgun, as well working with marketing clients and businesses, such as Croud.
I'm passionate about literature and comedy, and have a love-dislike relationship with video games. I've been playing them all my life (over four decades, if you can believe it), which suggested I'd be more than suited to writing articles about it. That's a half-truth.
I still play games, but I've moved away from gaming "journalism" (I use the term very loosely) in order to set sights on new ventures.
With that, I'm particularly interested in working with video game studios, especially new and indie ones, but I'm open to any small business, particularly those local to Herefordshire.
I have a beard. If that seals the deal.
